Jackpot Cues

Could care less about Jack, or pot, or a $500 cue. But I did learn of a super affordable made the right way cue maker, cue seller with reasonable pricing and ordered me one right up. Thanks David and cues directly. Excited to receive it.
Couldn't care less.

Sent from the future.

The question becomes when the owner of these cues decides to sell one..........does he have to list it as a unknown maker?

I'm listing the one I have as a "Piece of S**t Deano Dumpster cue"

I'm going to list every flaw with photos and pray I get $399 for it

Didn't know you had one.

Thought you said your friend had one.

If you/he didn't like the cue, why didn't it get refunded through Dean, when he offered?

I bought it for the actual review that people have asked for. I'll post details and photos soon. Dean could have been a man and just backed off the pre-orders when he saw things weren't going to work out, but he forged right ahead with his scam.

It's no wonder why Dean won't post who made them, these are just an embarrassment. The Emperor's New Pool Cue, if you're defending them as a good value. A Dufferin with a 3/8-10 pin screwed in plays just as good for $400 less. A Dale Perry is cheaper and those play alright too. They are what? $110?

Here's a teaser: A $250 cue with a second mismatched shaft and other things you just need to see to believe, marked up because Jack Potter was building it.

I'm honestly shocked that he sold it to me, this cue is a keeper

So let me see if I've got this straight. You've complained about the Jackpot cues for over a week now. You've complained about Deans selling/marketing techniques and you've said the cue isn't worth what everyone paid for. Not one owner has said anything bad about these cues, so you decided to buy one from Dean so you can tell everyone how bad it is. That makes about as much sense as keeping a box full of pocket lint for a rainy day.

Have you received your cue yet or is your opinion and "teaser" solely based on pictures and the cue you looked at? I'm also curious what your qualifications are to rate how well a cue is made. I admit, I don't know much about the internals, but I play pretty decent so I know what hit and feel I like, and that's what I based my opinion on. So are you a cue builder perhaps? Do you have any references on your building techniques since you say the Jackpot cues were done wrong?

I don't get cues to look at. I only get cues to play with and if I get a chance to play with something before I get it, all the better.

I may be the only Jackpot owner who actually played with one before getting it and if it didn't play good I wouldn't have got it.

So, it seems safe to say that pretty much everyone liked their Jackpot, I respect Hawaiian Eye's review, and if he says it's a good hitting cue, I figure it is(at least his for sure). He also said that when he called Dean, Dean said Jack built it, that would bother the shit out of me, being lied to on the phone, but the cue seems to hit so good he doesn't seem all that bothered.

I also never saw Jack misrepresent anything, think that was pretty much all on Dean, as he said Jack was building the cues, although oddly Dean also said the opposite too(before this all went down).

Think Dean caught so much flack on this, well obviously because he said Jack built them, but really more due to the spamming, and when people mention it, going full tilt the same direction and making excuses. Like do we need 15 for sale threads spread out even into the main forums, for me the breaking point was posting a for sale thread in the cue and case gallery with no pictures to boot.

Making so many threads for the same product, is for one against the site rules, and it's a big f*ck you to the other members selling, at least in my opinion.
I mentioned all the created threads, and not a single supporter of Dean's commented, so I ask again, when is to much, too much?

Tommy was real happy with his Sly, until Ideologist posted screenshots from Sly showing Harris had in fact built his cue. Don't think he is trying to be big brother, just likes exposing bullshit.

None of this would have ever been an issue if you didn't misrepresent the cues by saying Jack built them and spam the forums, this thread wouldn't have even been created.

this is a very valid point, imo. The manner in which Dean sells is inconsiderate to all azb members and especially to those members who also sell here and who follow the rules.

As I stated earlier, the outlandish claims of women fainting, other player's jealousy, rattlesnakes jumping out of your path, etc, etc, etc, are his shtick, just like posting no pictures. While I'm not a fan of those selling methods, it's certainly his right and he seems to have made it work for him so no harm, no foul here.

But, the outright deception over who made the Jackpot cues and the incessant spamming and rule breaking on volume of posts and which forums they were posted in is not okay, not even a little bit. Anyone who takes the position that if you don't like it, just move on, isn't taking into account that not only is it so pervasive that it is difficult to avoid but beyond that, if you happen to be selling yourself, your items are being pushed down the page by the volume of all his posts.

Frankly, I'm shaking my head over there being so many of you who are cool with this behavior. Do you really like being lied to and spammed?

Arguments like 'everybody knows doing business with Dean is a gamble' and 'why so much drama, it's only $500' leave me dumbfounded. To those I say:

Mystery Cue: Is a gamble, everyone know it going in

Cue Described as Being Made By A Specific Maker: Should not be a gamble

If $500 is no big deal; can I hold 5 hundos?

Right, I'm in that demographic, I can't even tell a magic draw cue from a regular cue.

And I certainly can't tell the difference between a magic used orange county chopper cue priced over retail from a brand new one from McDermott.

Maybe someday...
