Onward he marches. On a run of 56 now, taking the score to

125 - 27 DA

And, yet again, break ball and CB in great position for right-side-of-rack break.

------------------

He mix-mastered the rack

He's up to 70 on the run now. This is where he was earlier when he scratched on the break.

139 - 27 DA

Break ball to his left side of rack this time, with super CB position.

-------------------

DA on time out. Perhaps the earlier one wasn't really a time out.

--------------------

He's back, and the break was successful, though still cluttered in the middle.

Dapple Arrenton is dabbing it.

Run up to 84.

Score 153 - 27

Break ball and CB in perfect position to his right side of rack.

---------------------

Hit it good, but looking for something to shoot next.

Ah, he had a long straight one.

Break ball again to right side of rack. CB back about even with side pocket.

---------------------

Good break

He had to negotiate 3 balls tied up near the center of the foot rail, but did so.

Run stands at 112 now

181 - 27

Not much angle on the break shot this time. We'll see.

-------------------

He pounded it in but, I think, got nothing.

-----------------------

He made a combo below the rack and is still shooting.

Two nearly nothing positions that rack, but he survived. 14 more.

Run is now 126

Game is now 195 - 27

Break ball is pretty high to left side of rack.

Shane is now ice fishing.

Thank you for the constant updates. You may want to consider a job at CNN as a reporter ... You were that good!

Here's a summary of the championship match, inning by inning. A1 means Appleton's first inning, for example.

VB1: opening safety
A1: safe, but bumped out a ball to the right side of the rack

VB2: ran 28, then overcut a thin break shot to his right side of the rack (0-28)
A2: ran 70, then scratched in a head-rail pocket on the break shot (69-28)

VB3: with ball in hand, made a ball but scratched in the side pocket (69-27)
A3: 131 and out (200-27)

The last time I played 3 innings, it was Little League (or was it T-Ball?).

Coingrats to Daz!

Congrats to Shane for making the finals as well. Is there anything this guy can't do on a pool table. Got to hand it to Darren though, he is Mr. Consistent for sure. Congrats to both of them. Well played.

Thank you AtLarge !!!!!!
You deserve a Pulitzer Prize for last night's work!
Couldn't stay for the finals, but you made it just like being there (while sitting in a car).
