Perhaps some prefer the terminology "XXX point game" instead of "race to XXX points," but it is by no means universal and in no way is the latter improper. Calling me out for some perceived lack of respect is uncalled for. Quite frankly, it's exclusionary attitudes like this that turn people off from the straight pool community.

The Wimbledon finals for the women was played today. Serena won a race to 2 sets. Tomorrow the men are playing a race to 3. Stupid, right?

Tennis is a different game/sport than 9 ball. So is straight pool.

This was one of the more entertaining threads i didnt realize race and points could set off a 7 page thread.

Terms do mean something otherwise the doctor would just write "arm" on your chart regardless of why you went to the doctor.
