Howdy Folks -

A lot of people think that only the shooting (pushing balls around the table) is the way to learn how to improve your skills.

Actual ball-banging is only part of how to become a better player.

I have espoused this notion for sometime now. There is thread going now where I tell the OP to go to his local poolroom and sit quietly and watch good players play.
Watching the bad, and the ugly, is a waste of time. :)

P.S. As a matter-of-fact, it's the thread currently next to yours.
