I can see these Dynasphere Tungstens are cheaper $70 dont look to bad and their specs are below but what are the specs of say Super Aramith Pro. I am not able to find the weight/size deviation and hardness for the Super Aramith Pro balls to make comparison or Aramith Premiums.

Dynasphere Tungstens
Size: 57.2mm
Weight: 169 gram
Gravity: 1725
Hardness: 59 Rockwell
Composition: Extremely High Phenolic Resin Content
Weight: deviation between all balls within 1 set is better than 1,5 grams.
Dimensions: maximum deviation of target diameter is 0,08 mm with 1 set.
Roundness: all sets with a maximum deviation of 0,04 mm.
Hardness: ≥ 56 Rockwell E.
Specific Gravity: better than 1.700

If they list the actual specs for the aramiths...they can't justify the bloated pricing. I'm sure the specs are simular tho. I bet these dynasphere spec better than balls 3x the price

It took awhile, but I got an email today saying that they have shipped, and my credit card has been charged, so seems like they are on the way.

Thanks, I bought a set from them, it took less than a week. I’m not a fan of the color scheme and some of the numbers don’t match but from what I can tell of the build, which remind me of Cyclop, it’s a good deal.

This thread has died off but I said I'd put a review up, so here it is:

I've been playing with the Dynasphere tungstens for about a month now, and I couldn't be
happier. The quality of materials is second to none. They stay every bit as clean as my old
Cyclop balls, or maybe even cleaner. I've not noticed a single skid yet, and they have a really
solid crisp feel.

Even the hyper-simple color scheme has grown on me, although I wish they had either gone
for the full skittle treatment, or stuck with traditional colors. This set is somewhere in the middle
color-wise, and it doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. The aesthetics are the weak point
with this set, but they really aren't that bad in person. The simplicity might even be a positive
for gameplay, with a less distracting design than more expensive ball sets use.

I'll give them a firm A+ for value. Great playing balls at least as good as my old Cyclop set, and
considerably better than the Centennials they are replacing. Considering they are so cheap they're
almost free, you'd be a fool to pass them up if you're on the fence about getting them.

I tried to test the theory but I missed every shot! I finally made a ball after hours of trying but alas It is a drop pocket GC1. I will let you know...

Price is definitely right but those may be THE ugliest pool balls i've ever seen. Wow. I thought those Aramith Blacks were bad but these are really bad. The 6/14, did they use bird-turds as the reference color??

They claim tighter spec's than anyone but even that listing is confusing and a bit contradictory. Hardness greater than or equal to 56Rockwell on the E scale? it also lists hardness as 59R.

Weight: I have seen 1.5 grams maximum deviation and 1.5 grams plus or minus. Three grams is getting to be a lot for our purposes.

Not sure how they measure the maximum deviation of diameter and roundness. Can a ball be .08mm maximum difference in diameter including the .04mm out of round or can it be .08mm difference in diameter plus have .04mm out of roundness for a potential .012mm total difference in size by some measurements?

I ordered a set so I'll see how they play for myself. The tolerances are a little scary but hopefully they under promise and deliver better than the minimum. The reviews seem very positive. I'm always a little leery after receiving a fairly decent quality lathe chuck by reputation. It had a long set of specifications like these balls and it was at maximum runout on every tolerance listed. The end result was a chuck no better than a much cheaper chuck and after spending hours cutting a zero tolerance face plate to mount the chuck I had to cut the face plate back and do some precision adjusting on that chuck with a five pound rubber hammer!

These balls are interesting. I have to admit I am underwhelmed by the appearance of all the dynasphere balls but I suspect I can get used to the rotors if they are genuinely the best balls out there.

Shipping is supposed to be five to seven days but I'll see them when I see them, sellers can ship promptly but after that we are all at the mercy of the shipping companies.

We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere? - 08-08-2020, 02:30 PM

For you folks looking into the Dynasphere specs within this thread, and wondering how they may compare to a couple of the very best Aramith sets (and their low priced Crown Standard set), I can offer these perspectives.....

*a few things worth noting: all numbers are in GRAMS, not ounces (1 ounce = 28.35 grams); the scale I use is calibrated and tested before each use; I zero out the tare value before each ball is placed onto the scale; Each ball is weighed once again after a full set has been completed; for comparison, a $100 dollar bill weighs in at 0.9 grams; this is simply a comparison of weights from ball sets within my personal collection. Period.

The ball sets compared:
DYNASPHERE
- Tungsten (cheapest @ $79)
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum

ARAMITH
- Crown Standard (cheapest @ $125)
- Tournament
- Black

Here’s the chart:

And the takeaway:

The cheapest Dynasphere TUNGSTEN balls exceed every spec of ANY Aramith ball set at any price that I’m able to measure with extreme accuracy.

The Dynasphere GOLD ball set is closest to traditional colors and has the tightest tolerances of any ball set I’ve measured. Bar none.

Every cue ball within the complete range of Dynasphere ball sets that I own play perfectly. And I mean perfect as in “without flaw”. I’ve never seen a skid in 100+ hours of play amongst them all because you never see chalk residue on the ball - and I’ve never miscued. Their formulations are borderline sorcery. Hard to believe, I know. You’d have to experience it to believe it.

All of this from an avid Aramith ball fan.

Lastly, the difference between the worst and best ball set range is the weight of a dollar bill in your pocket. Any denomination. On the table, and in play, I’d say that makes weights of modern ball sets an irrelevant issue. Each to their own.

It probably comes down to issues of price and looks. A good player can make balls no matter the variations. IMHO.

Platinum

Gold

Silver

Tungsten

Play well, my friends!

~ K.

All those balls are within manuf. tolerances. You'll never notice the tiny differences during play. If it wasn't for the bird-turd colored 6/14 they wouldn't be too bad. Wonder why they chose that funky grey color??
