I am planning on it!!!!!! This will be my first trip I am kinda looking for someone to show me around and meet some new AZers

Also, there is an AZ room (2 tables) set aside where you can go play free pool and mingle with fellow AZ members. I believe Williebetmore is coordinating it again. There maybe a small fee that goes toward renting the tables, room etc exclusively for AZ members. (Do check with Willibetmore) By paying and being on the VIP list allows you to play free pool in that room, anytime. It is a great deal because practice table is scarce at DCC-all tables are available for action or practice after all scheduled tournament is over for the day, which is usually around midnite. Not to mention it's coin op!
You do not have to pay the membership fee just to drop in and say hi and introduce yourself, but there are some perks. You might just get to play against a pro for nothing since all pros are invited as well. That was last year, I think Jeannette L. frequented the room - but don't quote me on it, check with Willibetmore:thumbup:

Yup, actually she was hanging out in the AZ room quite a bit. Just a reminder to everyone that pro's get first in line. Last year some dip$hits wouldn't give up one of the tables for her. I'm not sure if these were paid AZ room players who did this or not. The first night I was there, there were a lot of people playing in there who didn't belong, but that got straightened out pretty quick.
Rapped with her about jump cues for a little while and let her try out the Pred Air jumper I just picked up. (I had mixed feelings about it, and it was good to hear a somewhat similar reaction from her.) It was kinda neat seeing as I never really met her like that before.
Very cool and down to earth woman.
Good players overall in the AZ room too!

After a long call I got a room in the Casino and a long flight from Austria to Louisville ;-)
Its my first time on the DCC, cant wait to meet all the guys from here and also cant wait to enjoy the event.
Does anybody know what is the cheapest/best way to get from the airport to the Horseshoe Casino ?
The next question: Who has the longest way to the DCC ? I will fly about 5000 miles ;-)

I just booked my flights for the first friday thru tuesday.
I recomend you call and verify your reservations. I always double check mine and they had me down for something like 28 days from jan 21-feb something. I am only going for 4 nights.

Maybe has change to I think I will not as my room mate does not want to go this year, as he has first year jitters about the new venue? I am holding on to my room reservation until the last minute.
