Collectibles? Shouldn't Balabushka be #1? And what happened to Spain?

I guess you have to separate this into Modern and historical categories.

Well collectible can mean many different things. If I am collecting cues based on playability, it will differ from someones collection based on historical significance. Someone may collect cues from the 60's, his collecting criteria will be different, or someone collecting wrapless cues and so on....

If my collection is for return on my investment, oh man am I screwed.. lol

If you put a cue on the collectable list.

#1 You should own one.

Not hit with.
Not wished for.
Not thought about.
If you don't collect it you can only wish.
With that thought. I leave this to our collectors.

Well

Because I owned a Balabushka and never sold it that would have made it my collectable. It was stolen.
To be on a list of your most collectable cues if you don't collect anything you pose would be BS or wishful thinking. Not the same as collectable.
Also Cochran and Scruggs.
My Balabushka was a Gus front so Gus too.
There are my 4.

+2.....i see what nick has said......but what if you cant afford a 15000 cue...does that make it any less of a collectable?

You collect it. Post it up.

It is a collectable to you. Your cues you find collectable.

These are the top 5 cue-makers on my list.

My list is based upon cue-makers that I either currently own or would like to own and are within my budget range. Listing cues that I probably will never be able to afford, or even justify spending that much for, essentially becomes just a wish list.

So my top five cue-makers are.....drum roll please......names are listed in random order........Bill Stroud, Tim Scruggs, Paul Mottey, Richard Black, and Tad Kohara.

I actually do have a list of six cuemakers I want to own and it's the aforementioned five and also James White. Right now I own a very early Runde Schon (custom made to my design specs), a Bill Stroud and a Tim Scruggs (purchased today). In my closet is an early 70's Palmer cue I bought directly at Palmer's New Jersey shop.

I have my eyes on a six pointer ivory joint James White cue that I would like to be my next purchase...hopefully soon....and as far as the remaining cues on my list of cue-makers....well, I just hope I don't reach room temperature before completing my collection.

So that's my list of cue-makers and which ones I currently won and hope to own next.
