I know its been a rough ride for many pool halls across America. Are things getting any better lately? It is so slow at my place how is it at your local hall?

Well here in Michigan the smoking ban has killed business. All the anti smokers were pushing for it and once it passed and the smokers left business is dieing a quiet death. This was a bad law to begin with and now its proving to be costly!
Phoenix AZ will hit 110 NEXT WEEK, it should bring people back to the Pool Bars! I say Pool Bar as I think 100% of the places to play pool serve a minimum of BEER!!!!!
Things are decent for me but I only have 18 months to look back on. Daily specials help, leagues are hard to keep together but also help. I sell ALOT of food that also helps but very little beer. I also do alot of minor cue repair. I wish EVERYONE the best and think we should get a TEXT list together so OWNERS can share thoughts, Ideas, Questions, etc..... Anyone up for the idea can text me anytime at 864-871-1535.
Pool is discretionary income. A luxury. We have an economy where people are losing their homes. It should not surprise anyone a luxury item has less demand these days.
How true!!!! We are just paying our bills the big profits of the past are going to take some time to return. People need jobs.
We have had 5 major pools halls shut down in a 25 mile radius ( NW Chicagoland Area) because they couldn't make the rent. When the economy does get better I think business should be great due to supply & demand market forces.
