To properly assess a combo shot, you must be able to see the space between both balls, the first ball and the cue ball and the last ball and the pocket. That's three spaces. In most cases, the only way to see all of that at one time is to stand taller over the shot. Once you've done that and set up your aim point, you can get down low into your normal stance, but here's where players make a mistake --- DON'T ADJUST YOUR POINT OF AIM. Trust what you saw when you were standing taller, even though it may not look right when you get down low. A very slight tweak is okay but do not re-aim the shot.Your perspective changes when you get down low over the ball and are no longer able to see all the spaces between the balls and pocket that I mentioned earlier.
