In the spirit of acceptance I thought it would be a nice idea to start a thread somewhat like the gif and pics one. The goal here is to post matches that you have come across that really stood out, or displayed a considerable amount of a particular skill and not the "look at this safe at 3:45:13. Now I would say that this should mostly consist of youtube or other "free" footage so that all can take part, but all are welcomed so let be up to the individual if to pay for it (i.e. Accu-Stats).

I would like for it to state what particular aspect is to be observed if other than great shooting, perhaps name if possible or another info, again so that time is not wasted clicking on a link that one may of seen or not be interested in.

I will continue to post to this for those who are interested, I know there is a certain cultish type of thing here (no trying to be mean, just an outside observation) so honestly i'm not expecting a lot of feed back.

The Ghost reinvented?

and since this has started I really wanted to post this a long while back (rambling) but i never saved it to my favs and then i couldn't find the video or the host and when i found the host i couldn't find the vid that i wanted to really show cause some of them are similar but had a lot of dialogue (deep sigh) so here it is.

not sure if you guys are familiar with the narrator (i guess some more directly involved with pinoy and the country might/may be) but i have no clue, however i really like his remake of the ghost, or twist so to say. its kind of like the PAT skill test or Dr Daves, it features Carlo Diado and his coach i guess. Naturally check out some of this guys other vids on his channel

There are probably so many matches not caught on video. We only read or heard about such matches on news , grapevine. If only all pool tables come with overhead cam so all matches will be recorded :D

Here are some recent ones I can remember:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY1yV8PEY6s
Jayson Shaw v Mika
Famous for being one of fastest match

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXpvqdxoNoU#t=18180
World 10 Ball 2015 final Carlos Biado v Ko Pin Yi
Ko played flawless pook in 1st half getting out of tough outs, top shotmaking
Then in 2nd half, Biado made comeback and almost caught Ko before Ko woke up and ran out his racks on his breaks
Quality of video and camera angle is poor

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFzzipPnJWo
Quarterfinal All Japan 2014
Jeffrey Ignacio v Chang Yu Lung
Beautiful smooth play by both. Fast and nice flow and rhythm. Like 2 strong boxers taking turns at each other

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAaL7ZERSxA&index=6&list=PLEJarifbrxyOFYpm9ilvDoLAI8R245ShK
Mark Selby v Darren Appleton Chinese 8 ball World . Winner purse $100K
Darren leading all way by few racks but at final lap Selby caught another gear and caught up and almost snatch the match from Darren if not for couple of easy misses which cos him 2 racks

Here is old one

This is the infamous match Bangkok Open 2008 final. This is only first part and you can click the other parts on right side. Not whole match is captured I think.
Ko Pin Yi v Dennis Orcullo. Ko was 18 or 19 then
Dennis was on hill and Ko ran 10 consecutive racks to win. I think Dennis only came to table once or twice. Not sure what biggest package was but am sure at least 5 pack

:D

ah, it came back to be the second i put on the dennis vs ko match. What I like about the china open is that it's quite, there is no commentary and no back ground noise just the clicking of balls. this allows me to do what i have to do on one monitor and that on another without the extra noise or danny rambling on, some thing that there is a lot of in the dennis vs ko match but no danny. FYI

time to put little man to sleep plus my sons tired too, I got work tonight and he has to keep his mother up so TTYL guys

For the past 6 months or so I have been playing 3 Cushion Billiards and LOVING it....I recommend it to you all. Pro speed is an average of 1.0, meaning you make 1 billiard per turn. About 1.8 and above is world class speed, and where they can average 2.5 or more, the club is a small one.

This is a vid of Roland Forthomme who makes 28 billiards in one turn at the table!!! unfreeekin believable and as far as I know the highest run on camera.

have fun,

G.

This is the wildest game of one-pocket I've ever seen: John Schmidt vs. Scott Frost, captured by ontherailtv. Sadly, the audio has been muted because someone complained about copyright violation for the music in the background (AC/DC...never liked them anyway).

Note: the video might begin around the 3 minute mark. If so, just move the playbar back to the left to see it from the beginning.

To be fair, the break consistency is mostly due to the consistency of the rack provided by the rack used.

Yes but just like getting advice you still have to hit 'em yourself. I think it was from the 2 rack he planted that ball for like the next 5, skipped and then did it again for like 3 more. I'm giving the guy credit for being able to hit the cue ball in the same place that many times.
