Awesome, thanks for all the good advice! A friend of mine does powder coating so that sounds like a pretty good idea. With rail work are we talking about "diamondizing" the pockets?

Yes and no, he would cut off the subrails and start over. you would end up with what ever size pocket you want and at the 141 degree corner and 102 sides. I have heard it is pretty pricey, but, if you have the $$ I also hear they play great.

Oh ok, I got gotcha. Sounds like a future endeavor when the table gets moved to it's forever home and student loans are paid off haha.

Picked up the table and it seems to be refinished GC1 due to the figure 8 disc deal under the rails.

You sure its not a National? That would be what I put my $ on. Is it a 9' table or 8' OS. Looks awfully similar to a national imo

How are the pocket/pocket liners connected to the rail? Wood Screws? Machine screws? Nails?

I wish o could see the aprons better. Especially the castings. It almost looks like a medalist with GC parts but the pictures make it hard. I'd need to see the hardware and everything to be sure. I'm still putting my money on National

I don't know why there is even any question... That table is a Gold Crown I, which has had the wood stripped and stained. This table looks NOTHING like a National Top Line. Not only that, the Brunswick nameplate is clearly visible in one of the photos.
