Yobagua shared this on OnePocket.org forum about the technical direction for pool. How cool is this!

Beau Runnigan worked on the show as the technical advisor. You might know him from a past DCC where he placed high on the 14.1 event. He lives in LA now. Also our own HOB in Santa Monica Jenny Lee actually made some of the harder shots.

She was known as 9 ball Jenny but has turned into One Pocket Jenny as her one hole game has advanced. I believe you remember her Kentucky Bill.

I am not a big fan of the show. Every one looks so pretty and perfect.

Though Ted Danson is one of my favorite guys. I worked with him on Cheers and he was a perfect gentleman and all around nice guy.

I knew somebody in the know had to be providing advice to the TV folks. Now I know, thanks to Yobagua.

Why encourage people to watch, support, such a show which paints a tarnished image of pool?
Convicted felon with mob ties is a pool player.
Make a trick shot where you dont break the champagne glasses, then shower
the audience with glass.

Couldnt watch anymore, sorry I was directed :angry:to the link.

Sorry you did not enjoy it. :frown:

Same could be said about "The Hustler" and "The Color of Money."

lol, calm down. It was just a joke (like the one you missed just now ;)).

And the first five posts in this thread seem to be you replying to yourself, lol. Not quite "an engaging back-and-forth" in my book .

If you reply to your post 4 times and do this several times a day you can also get to 30k+ posts of *pool content*.

Good Luck!

I was actually trying to put a photo and link in each post rather than multiple photos in one post.

I regret making this thread now. It's just fodder for the antagonists.

I am well grounded. Thank you.
I know of seedy characters, criminal activities, and immoral acts
by "pool players". Just dont need to see the negative stereotypes
fed to the masses. Sooner or later they will believe them.

The opening scenes should have shown a body in a car wash, with quarters scattered about.

Let your friends influence how your day goes.

There are over 7 billion people on this planet.....
...everybody can find a few million that do not like them.

Any tv time pool can get far out weighs no tv time .. i highly doubt anyone who watched the show thought OMG pool is seedy except for the ones who already know the seedy side

True dat. It's the unstable ones that give me pause. Not worth it.

No Buzz for "Billiards" Episode on Major Network TV

It's really sad this episode didn't attract more attention from the pool community. I just found out about it last night.

JAM, thanks for posting. A friend of mine recently told me about this episode, as it re-aired last Friday night. So, I thought maybe someone would have posted something about it on AZ. Sure enough, you did.

Reminds me of good old "Mary Queen Of Scots.
They had her in a castle, with a billiard table, under house arrest for her political views.
She enjoyed playing and when the cloth started getting a bit worn she started biattching about it.
I guess there was no money in the budget for new cloth, so they knocked her off and hauled her out in the old cloth.
