We were going to go for the day for something to do but with the low turnout and no vendors it didn't seem worth the drive. Anyone there? Take some pictures so we can see what the set up looked like.

I am going today, Saturday, for the day. It is only about 90 minutes from my house so it is not a major problem.

I was kind of wondering the same thing.

Is there a players list at least somewhere other than in Allen's pocket? I'd like to know how many from the ABP are playing in it...or have they all deserted him after screwing it all up last year? Johnnyt

PS: Opps, Another negative post....sorry.

It's true lol I stick with my belief that people goto the expo for everything going on around the tournament.... you won't get near the turnout with that single eliminatin bs without the pros and all the vendors

Went today. Poor turnout. I am hoping it is because this is the first year. One vendor selling clothes, a small Omega booth, one selling high end cue, two people doing cue repair. About 30 women playing, four brackets for the men. Two brackets for senior men. Even the casino was empty for the day. At night the casino business picked up.
The casino charges $10 cover to get in. Allen was giving away passes he had to get in for free. To use the free pass you had to register. You then get $25 in free slot play. I used mine and won $100.

He did start the registration kind of late. He may get a better turnout next year if he push's it all year and advertises at the expo.

Seems like there is less publicity for this event than the SBE in March. I wonder why.

I heard Dawn did a lot of the promoting for the tournaments when she was still with Allen. In any case there should have been at least 20-25 players there from the ABP instead of bailing like rats leaving a ship after Allen supported them and they helped screw the tournament up. Johnnyt

Hopkins for several years (but not every year) has had a "second" expo in the late summer or fall. It's always a much much much smaller event than the main expo in the spring time.

One of the years this second expo was host to his 5k entry fee "million dollar tournament" where Corey beat Shane in the finals.
