Dorothy Wise's husband made a record. I've seen it go by on Ebay. From Wikipedia, which you should support financially because you want it to stay around:

Dorothy learned to play pool from her husband, Jimmy Wise. He managed billiard parlors (where people play pool) in several cities around the western United States. He watched Dorothy win the first national championship in 1967, but died later that year.[3]

Here is a previous thread about Jimmy Wise's pool instruction record.

thanks bob, and all
I love a good song
but I should have been more clear
it really is "spoken word" type records I'm looking for
the jimmy wise record appears quite promising
but I haven't found one yet

ps wikipedia is amazing and I would second the motion that we support it,
and any helpful, people-powered web (or otherwise-formatted) endeavors
and I'm instantly reminded I've been meaning to throw a few bucks azb way-
this website is great, thanks to all the folks here that make it so!

Minnesota Fats had an album

I found it in a collection of crap- might still have it somewhere. It is stories and the usual BS, and I think there might be a guest appearance by Waylon Jennings or someone like that.
