Big boys rolled into the cue Club...

Tony Drago,from Malta has been hanging around CueClub in lasvegas looking for some action.He already gave some lessons to Middle Town Whity's son two days ago playing 9ball.Yesterday Tony`s backer was in negotiations with Archie the Greek.The backer said that they need to make it a fair game.I got a kick when Archie told thay guy " I don`t care for a fair game ,I want nuts".Cliff Joyner,Jason kirkwood , Eric Derbin were also prowling there.I heard eric derbin got beat pretty badly by some one.

Yeah archie and Drago played $300 a game 9 ball at Pool Sharks getting the 3,4,5,7,8,9 and the break from Drago !!! He got the nuts alright !!!

I hear people actually talk down about the guy-- why, I have no idea. As far as gambling goes, I actually revere him. He's kinda a legend in my book.

Pool is the smallest possible % of his total gambling. He can't play at that level, he knows it, he has lots to lose, so he forces big weight.

How many people have you met that beat-up a casino SOOOO bad they nearly had to sign the entire casino over to the guy? I forget how big his run was at Binion's, but I heard he brought the casino down to its kneeeeees. Jay, Beard or Vagabond will know.

Since I've taken nothing but murderous rapings at casinos since I can remember, that's pretty impressive to me.

Archie ended up winning an incredible $40 million over 2 years. Tom Sexton did a 10 part interview with him over the past few months. I just finished reading it a few weeks ago, and the story is truly amazing. Check it out at:

That amount keeps going up.
First I heard was $26 million dollars.
Archie's a legend. Was on Discovery Channel on that Vegas story they had.
He was the biggest whale there was in Vegas up until that Australian media mogul, according to that documentary.
But, being ahead by that much then years later playing at Hard Times for $20 a game of one hole makes you wonder.

I heard that he lost all those millions.I do not know the truth.Lately he has been frequenting cue club.First time I ever spoke to him was only yesterday.

In the interview Mr Sexton had with Archie, it mentioned that he lost all of the money and had a number of "mini runs," where he won and lost millions of dollars in short periods of time. At the end of the interview, he said he was going to go back to his bread and butter...poker. Does anyone know if he's been on the poker scene much lately??

Last night at Riviera Eric Derbin and martel( spelling) from canada were duking on a bar Box for Dime a set.I don`t exactly remember what they were racing to and it must be either race to 8 or 10.Eric won the forst set and during the second set I left the place and went home.Money was held by Joe blackburn.The match took place right infront of Joe`s cue repair shop and that may be the reason they might have posted the money with Joe.
