Unions and the Public Sector - 10-21-2019, 08:09 AM

The government creates jobs, but because the conditions of those jobs are so bad, unions are needed.

Should the government be in the business of creating jobs?

Republicans don't like it because it creates unfair competition, like competing against China in manufacturing.

Alternatively, the government makes money available for other people to create jobs. Democrats don't like it because, it creates the "wrong" types of jobs. Like a new Amazon factory in New York City.

The current healthcare industry was created by Obamacare. It poisoned America with over-prescribed opiates. It created jobs that killed Americans. These aren't Americans that are serving the country for the military. The Americans dying from Obamacare are individuals that are dying of addiction and being preyed on by doctors and targeted by pharma companies.

Unions in the public sector like healthcare, provide care for the dying addicts. Creating a new industry to care for terminal addicts, is perverse and something Obamacare created.

IMHO you don't need Unions in 2019, if you do your job, and your employeer is happy with your work ethic.

Sad part of a Union Shop is everything is on seniority, not merit, or work ethic.

Also I would abolish the minimum wage, and offer wages on supply of workers & applicants available, and job skills for job.

Honeslty in 2019 their are still good place to work, with good pay & benefits if you have skills. The idea of raising minimum wage to say $15.00/hour will not improve anything thing except cost of goods, and services to consumers.
