Alan Alda has posed the question "What is Energy" to scientists and teachers.

I was hoping there are those of you out there that could demonstrate "What is Energy" using pool as an example!

Dr. Dave comes to mind.
If there's anyone else, please check it out, they want input!

IMO you will find no better we-do-not-know answer --indeed no better answer of any sort--than the one from Richard Feynman. Here you can hear from the original 1961 Feynman lectures. Seven minutes well spent...

i believe pure energy is a gathering of positively charged ions, neutrons, atoms, electrons, ect.
Lightning, G force (gravity), formation of ice, energy is illusive and remains constant all around us.
really good question, i haven't the answer either.

I'm still a little busy trying to disprove the second law of thermodynamics.....
...by breaking at straight pool and putting the balls back into a perfect triangle.

When i get that done....I'll go to work on the energy thing....
....if i still have the energy

That's only because there are many ways to be disordered :D
