Hello all, I am building a 9ft table and am considering buying rails instead of making them myself. I spoke to a guy 2 years ago who mentioned there was a company selling subrail assemblys cheaper than you could make them yourself. Has anyone heard of anything like that? Who would you recomend? Would you just build them yourself? Thanks Chris.

I would build them myself...if you're going to go through the hastle of building one, you might aswell get one exactly like you want...

I'm facing the same issue.

It depends how thick you want your rails, how easily you can cut precise bevels, and what you have available for hardwood stock.

See thread from a couple of weeks ago in this forum called "Milling Rails".

I think I will just build my own. I have a few friends with good shapers and large tablesaws. I will have to pay them a visit. Thanks guys. Chris.
