I would bet there is not a gambling pool player, that has been around it for
a few years that hasn't been dumped or heaven forbid done it himself. Get
over it, smarten up and quit whining.

I've been around this game a long, long time and seen a lot of shady stuff, but I have no idea what this guy is talking about until he gives us some more specific information. Just naming two guys means absolutely nothing unless he backs it up with an explanation of what took place to make him come on here and call them out.

I happen to know both guys mentioned on here and don't know the accuser. I have no idea who he is, so in the absence of any more information I'd have to discount what he has to say. To my knowledge neither player mentioned has any history of doing business, so I'd like to know if I'm wrong there.

One more thing, going to the gaming commission is a non starter. If it isn't related to casino gambling they could care less what happened between a couple of pool players. That is not really in their jurisdiction. They might be curious about what is going on at DCC and the Horseshoe but I seriously doubt that will have any effect on the casino or it's operations. It's like calling the gaming commission and telling them there was a fight on the premises. They would just respond to contact hotel security or the police.

I've known George for Decades, roomed with em at events. I'd need to hear both stories, otherwise this post holds no salt.

So you’re the big tall fellow over by Nat Green’s booth that called out George B for cheating? I heard a little about it while at the Derby but am having trouble understanding what actually happened. The DCC has zero responsibility in this matter in my view. Potentially staining, harming, or existentially threatening that entity or its founders in any way -- directly or by implication -- or jeopardizing the DCC's annual continuance is morally wrong. The AZB moderators should yank this thread.

The OP will do what he will do no matter what calming, sensible and appropriate advice is presented in this discussion, but AZB shouldn't be an innocently collateral agent for whatever retaliatory threats are being voiced then acted upon in personal wrathful confrontations.

In the relatively brief history of the Internet things like this have often spiraled into physical assaults and worse. The DCC and AZB should from this point forward remain apart from this matter IMO by stepping away from it. I sense that this thread has the possibility of becoming legal evidence connected to a very serious "malevolent activity" report by law enforcement, and ensuing widespread billiards-adverse publicity reaching the general public. None of us want that, nor do we want anyone harmed by being neglectful now about obvious warning signs.

This has nothing to do with the topic but heres a quick story. A few years ago a friend calls me and says hes in St Louis and just so happens to be in the place Carl plays, and theres a guy in there with 4 Tim Scruggs bar cues for sale. He buys all 4 and asks if id sell them which I agree. When I get the cues there are several extra shafts. I sell two cues and take the remaining two to the DCC and give them to a dealer to put in his booth. Each cue has one matching shaft. A few hours later I get a call and one has sold. I go back to the booth and am told someone bought one but took both shafts lol. Well, to make a long story short it was the guy that sold them to my buddy. His explanation was "well when I had them this particular cue had two shafts". To be clear, this guy bought one cue and then proceeds to steal the other shaft. I have no idea what his name was but he followed the George and Carla show like whipped gimp. Real nice clientele surrounding that group. A friend of mine and I mentioned it outside the action room and George chimes in with something like "its your loss, blah blah blah". The sad part is, the fella I was selling the cues for was a long time friend of Georges...but keeping everything calm around Carl trumped all that. Im not a pool player, and I have no idea where my non pool player manners were at the time, because I should have simply started warming asses up as soon as their lips moved.

Moral of the story is...dont let the dust get wet or itll settle. Carl is a millionaire, if indeed something happened...it aint for money which only leaves greed and deceit :shrug:
