I have replaced a couple rings with out cutting the cue in half.... it came out nice....... so it can be done.............

Yes....... but much the same procedure......... cut the groove the exact width of the ring.......... break the ring in half........ (breaks don't show, a cut will).... turn the diameter to match the ring and glue the halves in place......... refinish

You certainly can do it the way Kim says, but the amount of work and hence the price would in most instances make jobs like that a no go. When repairs equal the new price of the cue or close, most customers backs out..
If your dead set on a certain design, why not find a builder that can build you just the cue you want?

but how difficult is it to REMOVE dashes in rings??
