I'll even give another one. Gentlemen's Cue, also known as Bennie's Billiards, in Reisterstown, Maryland. Basically the north east edge of Baltimore. Mike Sigel showed up quite often in the 80s. It had a club type atmosphere. And good players.

All the best,
WW

I can name a few. Boulevard Social Club. Country Club Billiards (formerly Moulin Rouge) also on Roosevelt Boulevard. All of the Cue & Cushions in Philly. We still have some good ones though.

The Cue & Cushion in the Roosevelt Mall Cottman Street.

Newbies and Allingers...center city.

Where it began in NE Philly...BURHOLME Billiards. $.50 an hour.

I also miss Jay's Billiards at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, CA. I had a lot of fun there and for a brief four years we had the biggest games in town. Partner's One Pocket for 50-100 a man was a daily occurrence.
After Churchill Downs took over Hollywood Park they refused to renew my lease and bought me out of my remaining three years instead.

Dammit Jay,
That four-year brief period might have been 30+ by now.....:(

Crystal Palace Calgary Alberta Canada. Late 80s lots snooker action, Brady Golan and John Sharp, bet it up pretty good, Jimmy Whych, Jeff White, Chris Wood, Bernie Mikkelson, John Bear, Just to name a few great snooker players that were in action there.

I was gonna say Crystal Palace too, but I meant the one in Winnipeg. Tons of memories growing up there watching the local greats and the occasional road players come through town. Tough action for sure.

Velvet Rail
Lansing, Michigan.

I have fond memories of the Velvet Rail.
...owned by Joe Farhat, the patron saint of the WPBA.

Joe was a force in the game...lotta great players played there.

Starchers in Akron Ohio...had action all the time at any level and was open 24/7-365..a real poolroom

I second this. I wasn't what you would call a regular, but went to school at Kent State in the early 90's. Often enough made the trip looking for action. Always found what we were looking for. Ran into Troy Frank and his crew often enough to become friendly.

Cotton Bowling Palace in Dallas

at least there was always action and fun

Rusty's in Dallas on Loop 12 was also quite a pool room

I enjoyed playing at truebloods in Oklahoma city

right up toll i ran into Nprm Hitchcock

I guess any of these places would be fun if the players were the same

The Ball Room,Toms River N.J.
It was in an old bowling alley completely remodeled.
Good food.
Video game room with about 30 machines.
36 Gold Crown tables with room for 10 or 12 more.
Packed every night with a long waiting list for a table.
Any one that walked in could get played from the locals.
I was a local and played anyone that walked through the door if they were unknown.
Beat some and got beat by some.
Great room.
