I have a JP that im looking to get an upgraded shaft. Anyone have any preferences or suggestions?

You can get any of the OB shafts made to fit the JP series joint.

They come with a solid black collar. and are the larger diameter and flat joint face necessary for the JP series joints.

If you want OB I suggest a new OB cue, like a 121, then sell the JP

I appreciate the suggestions everyone. I haven't played in about 8 years and just bought this JP for like 300.00 just to start playing again, since my entire case went missing from a buddies house. 2 Meucci's, Mcdermott break cue, and Bungee jump cue.
