i found this about 25 years in a pawn shop. gave it to my cousin if he agreed to fix it up. he seems to think it is a JW but i have my doubts. the buttcap has been replaced and the inlays in the points were missing when i found it. any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

It does have some Joss West traits at the least especially in the ringwork. Butt caps are often replaced...hell I've done two this week alone. I think the "Inlay" is from an earlier repair. You can clearly see where there was some chip out in the point and it was drilled and filled. Bill Stroud might be able to tell you just off of the pictures alone. His splicing was pretty distinctive for the time and the designs were about as classic as you can get. Nice find.
