Derby steel joint trio

Sold and traded 4 cues at Derby. Acquired 3
nice steel joint players. Searing, Mottey, and
an early Josswest. Played with steel joint cues
for years and loved them, been a wood to wood
guy for the last 11 years, but now it's time to go
back to the future...haha

Had a blast at Derby the last 5 days, only slept a
few hours each morning and drank enough vodka
for the market price to sky rocket due to supply and
demand...lol

Get there if you haven't been, great time to be had and
I'm not talkin' about just cues. Met many a fellow AZer,
gambled (no casino for me, thanks, not my cup of tea at
this event), watched players match up, etc. To many
things to mention.......but, oh yeah, I drew Shane Van
Boening in the 2nd round of the 9 ball event. That was
awesome, love playing the greatest players.

Rambled on enough, sorry. Here's the cues that I'm
very pleased with. The Searing is in the best condition,
but I love the battle scars on the Mottey and JW. I'll play
with them and not worry one bit about a new ding or
bruise.

Thanks so much for looking, Jerry

How's the S play??

Great player, hits about like my Gus. The shafts are a little
thin for my liking, but I get the feeling that I'm going to put
enough miles on the cue to where thin shafts won't even
matter. I'll have Dennis make 2, but I don't know how long
it will take.

Can't even explain all the fun shit that goes on 24/7. I know
that I wish I didn't have to get back to the real world tomorrow,
I had such a blast that having to leave the venue knowing it
was over was the only disappointment....glad to get back home
to see my wife and daughter though. You really do need to get
up there.

3 obvious stallion players, congrats on them and the fun trip !!

They really are Sean, I wouldn't call the JW the pick of the litter, but
that cue is a beast player. I only hit a rack or 2 with it and the Mottey
so far,but they are solid, balanced, and straight. All 3 are basicly dead
nuts straight for that matter, couldn't really even notice any taper rolls.

Excellent taste. Congrats on all three. I would have been tickled with just one, any one of these beauties! Matt D.:)

Thanks. I'd be happy with just one as well. The Searing was a cue that
I was on the hunt for. Always been a JW fan, but believe it or not this is
the 1st one I ever owned. I sold my Mottey player the day before, so getting
that plain Jane to replace it was great.

You are awesome Todd, wish we would have crossed paths again and
got to hang out. Truth be told, I'd be a bad influence on you...lol. Pleasure
doing business with you and I feel like I made a new friend.

Thanks guys!

Love the middle cue nice pick ups

No doubt about it Busboy, it plays super. 19.6oz, 57 inch monster
with 13.25 shaft and old yellow micarta ferrule. I bet the ole Busboy
could clean some tables with that...haha. Thanks

Awesome line up Jerry!

Sorry I missed your calls yesterday...I stayed up and drove home early Sunday morning to beat the storm and then slept all day.

That ol' JW doesn't get any better..not to mention that Mottey has one of my favorite linen wraps of all time.

Since you're back using steel joints again..I got few more you'll be drooling over, I bet. ;)

Talk with ya soon..

I go in at 2 today, I'll try to call you on my way to work.
Love to see a few of those cues you're talking about
and I guarantee I'd be drooling, no doubt. Thanks buddy.

These are nice pick ups here! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, these were last minute pick ups. Didn't plan it
that way, but one cue lead to another Saturday evening.

Really glad you were able to pick up the Searing you've been waiting for. Between that and acquiring the fancy South West cue, you've had a great month. I think we're a bad influence on each other. :grin-devilish::grin-devilish::grin-devilish:

It was definitely nice to finally put a name and voice with a face. DCC was cool as always.

Enjoy your Josswest and Mottey players too. :)

Until next time,
JimmyK

Beautiful cues!! Congratulations. I would want any/all of the three.

Me too buddy, very pleased. Thank you.

Lol...I had Joe Blackburn put 2 G2's on two SW shafts
for seperate cues. Unfortunately, he closed up when I
got these Saturday night. G2's are the shit, you know it,
I know it. Thanks

Good stuff Jerry!

Thanks Danny, my collection is headed in a good direction,
plus I can play all I want with these, especially the Searing.

Thanks Jimmy, you're the best! It was great to meet you
and I must admit, you're a pretty good roomate, too, lol...
but true.

We'll meet back up before next year's Derby as long as
you promise to stop being a bad influence on me...haha.

Thanks again and talk to you soon.

Nice group of cues Jerry. My favorite is the Searing.
Think you'll make it to SBE this year?
