Bibbee,
To elaborate on StratShutr's method:
We generally heat the pin, which warms the glue and softens it. Then the weight bolt can be unscrewed. One problem is you don't know what kind of glue was used. Different glues soften at different temperatures - duh:smile:!
Also, without pictures, we don't know how deep into the butt the head of the bolt is. If it is within an inch or so, you can use a soldering iron to warm up that pin - just don't let the iron come in contact with the wood.
Also, you don't tell us what kind of head is on the bolt - flat slot, phillips, or allen head.
If it is deeper than an inch or so, you can use a long driver of the appropriate type, heat it with a torch or other heat source to conduct heat along the shaft and warm up the bolt. This will take a lot longer.
And, as I'm typing this, why do you want to remove the weight bolt? To lighten your cue or make it heavier? If you want to make it heavier and the top of the bolt is near the end of the butt, then none of the above is really going to help you.
Do you not know a decent cue-tech/cue-repairman in your area?
My 2 cents,
Gary
