I am 69 yrs old and have gambled since I was in grade school in some form or another. I still have the 1st Beatles album I won playing 1 on 1 basketball or maybe it was horse, another basketball game we used to play. When I started playing pool that's all we did was gamble 25 cents a game 9 ball in the late 60's, 10 dollar 1 pocket in the 80's was kind of the standard bet in the pool room I played in. I have to drive 60 miles 1 way to get to a real pool room now, so I play better then I ever have but just for fun at the local sr ctr which is still about 18 miles 1 way. Here's the deal. I go to the casinos and gamble, and I do ok, but if I lose they don't offer to give me my money back. If you can't afford to lose, don't gamble. Its like some players don't get that when you bet you can beat the other player, you're gambling. When I gamble I play to win money, and I don't play to win and give the other player their money back. If I lose, I pay on the spot. I'm gambling to win money, or I would not gamble. Sorry about the rant, but I get tired of pool players that can't play, don't know how to make a game, and cry when they lose.
