I have not played pool in a few weeks b/c the wife has been really ill and has spent 8 days in the hospital over the passed two weeks. Good news, she is recovering.
Anyways, I got some really good practice in tonight and ran 111.
Sorry, no video. I just haven't felt like setting it up. I hit a good grove about an hour into practice and ran the 111. I never had a hard shot until
I got to 98 and I missed the rack on my break shot. I ended up behind the rack with the cue ball. I hate to say this but I played the end ball on the rack banked into the side and it went. I then missed a key ball that was not that hard and ended up having good position on a nice break ball to end the run. I was watching the path of the cue ball, instead of watching the object ball when I missed.

Great news to hear that the wife is recovering !


And I am very pleased to hear you hit the triples again, too bad no video. If we only knew when those large runs were coming we could prepare for them.

Mike: I am glad to hear that your wife is getting better. Is she home ?

On the run: That is awfully strong to not play for a few weeks and jump up and hit a hondo. Congratulations on another hundred.:thumbup:

mike: you are one of the few here that i believe without question, your 14.1 posts. your play is about as strong as an amature gets. i think that we should arrange a taped, in-person race to 150 showdown, between you and marop with some friendly wagering that would all go to an agreed upon charity.

glad to hear that your wife is out of the woods.

Thanks guys for the well wishes for the wife. After all those days in the hospital & all those test they ran and doubled tested. Everything was coming back normal. They finally found two sis on her liver. They went in there and drained both of them. They were not cancerous.
The pain continued. Two different surgeons agreed on that her insides were all inflamed and put her on medication for it. She is slowly coming back to normal and is at home.
Now that I feel better myself. I will start practicing again & video taping the sessions. Hopefully, I can hit another good run soon. Of course with some good music playing in the back ground....LOL
Sausage, thanks for putting my name up there with Bill. I am going to try to go to Vegas this May for the first time. I would love to get with Bill and everyone here and shoot some games of straight. I think that would really be fun.

Well, the wife is still having problems. We are waiting to get set up with an appointment with another specialist.......... Stress.

Ran 82 last night. I really thought that it was going to be another 100+ two days in a row but I missed a shot that I thought was a dead combo in the rack after making a break shot. I had to shoot a object ball into the combo b/c it was in the path of the cue ball from making a clean hit on the combo. I must of hit it a little off b/c I bobbled the ball in the corner. The rack was then wide open. Will try again tonight.

Ran 75 tonight. Made a nice break shot on the 71st ball and had balls every where. Made another 4 balls and then made the 76th ball but I made a mistake by trying to force follow the ball and did it wrong causing the cue ball to hit another ball and scratching in the corner.

76 tonight. Had no shot. So I played a combo inside of a partly opened rack, that I knew had about a 1% chance of going. Missed it by a lot but another ball went right in, in the other corner. I made a big rookie mistake by not looking over the whole rack. Instead I had "Tunnel Vision" on that one shot. A good lesson learned tonight.

I just started video taping last night for the first time since I don't know when. Got the 76 taped. I think I can hit 100+ again soon. So, I am going to hold off down loading any runs for now. IF I do not get over 100 during this next week. I will down load what ever I do best. I am hitting a nice run every night with about an hour of practice each night.

PS: Thanks Ratta for the comments. The wife is doing better but is still not out of the woods. Still got to see some more doctors.

I really did not feel like playing tonight. I did give it a try for appox 40 mins or so. Was playing pretty bad but right before I was going to hang it up for the night. I hit a 65 ball run. So it turned out OK.
