I just received a custom 64" cue with 2 shafts from Chuck Starkey.
I never played with a cue that long before and I wasn't sure how it would feel. I'm 6'-5" and normal length cues feel short to me, so I had Chuck make a 64" 20 oz. stick, which is no easy task. He told me if I didn't like the cue just send it back no charge.
Because I didn't have a case for a cue that large, he spent some time jerry rigging one up for me and sent if to me free of charge. I guess the only other thing I could ask him to do would be to take the cue and play all my matches for me.
I'm sure the amount of time he spent on this was hardly covered by the $400 that he charged me.
Anyway, the cue plays great. I no longer need a mechanical bridge, and it breaks better than any break cue I've ever used, so I don't need to carry around a break cue.
