I know this question has been asked before but I can't seem to locate the right thread...
I picked up a Willard Tipper machine and have been reading some not-so-hot comments about it. Is there a problem trimming the side of the tip flush all the way down to the ferrule???
Some say the tipper can chip the ferrule.
I would have a problem with that 'cause my cues have ivory ferrules. :frown:
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

These work great if you know what you are doing ... When you sand the ferrel , it will flare a bit ... when you cut the tip down the blade is set to bevel slightly ... You'll know when you're down to the ferrel as spaghetti like hair piece of the ferrel will cut off ... That is the flaired part ... Be careful , you can cut deeply into a ferrel , also don't tighten the collet holder too much or you'll dent the shafts ... just snug is all you need ... I've got two of them , used to be 3 but one stolen ... They work great ...

They work great if you take your time.

Use it in good lighting so you can see what your doing.

I use a tooth brush to clear out the leather shavings while I'm working.

Blades are cheep.

If you think your taking your time.... take a break your going too fast.

Instructions

Can anyone post up the instructions that came with the tool please. I bought a used one and it didn't come with anything but an extra blade and one collet. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad
