Deal gone bad on superior cues site

Nope, they hook you up with the seller and you make the deal... they don't touch nothing. Obviusly, they get some commision for letting it sit on their lot, but the paperwork is between the owner and the buyer.....

I have bought maybe 15 cars from lots, this has never happened or been offered, period. Every time the paper work was from the lot of purchase.
I have never bought from a small time flippers lot, so I could be wrong, or NJ might forbid this kind of transaction.

Lets get this straight again...I never ever ask martin for a refund or for him to take that cue in for a trade.I even text him that I don't want a refund from him.All I want was for him to talk some sense into Don

And he reply back through text that what I ask him to do is FALSE.Really? Don sold me a cue that wasn't described as he stated is not false?

Well if he did don a favor by listing cue for him then why can he do me a favor by picking up his phone like he use to and talk some sense onto don for me cause what don did was wrong.I am a customer that bought several items from him also

And I wasn't that mad till he accused me of harassing and threatening him? Now he cross the line there!!!! Cause he's messing with my reputation and accused me of something I didn't do

I've been on this site since 08.And I do my best to keep my reputation in top notch and for him to accused me of that is really low.Have you ever see me cross the line on this site? I don't think so cause everywhere I go I want people to know me as a great person not just some loser or a dishonest person!

The moral of the story here is if you're driving down the road and see a car for sale, and you tell your friend about it and he buys it. He drives down the road and loses his breaks and kills 10 kids at a school bus stop... you're the one who's liable.

JV

Thats not at all what I was saying. If I bought a car at your dealership that you listed for a friend, and it killed 10 kids at a bus stop due to faulty brakes, the ill will wpuld certainty extend to your reputation as allowing a lemon car on your lot.

Martin let a lemon seller ruin his day.

You realize they don't do the same things in all 50 states, right ?

I've done many consignments when I worked on the RV lot.

The dealership handled the paperwork for a fee but could have easily been handled without the dealership. Its up to the seller. At least here in Texas.

The seller has a bottom line. Say 10k. We keep anything above and beyond their minimum. 150.00 if we do the paper work.

The big difference here is that when you purchase a consignment off a lot you actually sign a 3rd party disclaimer and are presented with an opportunity to purchase a warranty. Because we all know that posting a disclaimer or verbally giving one means almost nothing in today's world. You need to physically sign off on it.

I will also say this. There were many times where the dealership actually fixed things(at N/C) on trailers that were sold as consignment deals. Good business and in the grand scheme of things it almost always works out when you take care of customers. Next time they come back its highly likely that what you have for sale is a better fit than the one or two consignments.

I have never heard your integrity questioned, here there or anywhere....about a cue deal, pool game or anything.

To hear you were a past customer of martins and then to see him slam the door on you really surprises me. How many fuking cues have you bought in the last 15 years? I will answer for you: too many to count.

For Martin to close that door is virtually unthinkable

The only way I can explain how Martin is willing to take this type of PR hit is Don must buy a ton of cues from him. He should have never put himself in this situation, but now that he has, well, his post speaks for itself.

This so called dealership would have a lot more to worry about than their reputation..

Not everybody. Plenty of us, including pookie, don't think Martin is obligated to make it right via a refund/ return.

Had Martin offered to take it and resell it, it woulda been out of goodwill.

I hadn't thought that maybe don buys more cues from Martin. Interesting theory...though is rather have 2 customers that one, 8 days a week.

By the way, what kind of cue was involved? Does anyone know? ANd where is this magic link on the website for classified ads? All the ones I see listed are Martin's.

ANYONE.
If you ever hear of ANYONE wanting a product from Martins site, lead them to me. I'll make sure to beat every price he has if I can get ahold of the product for you.

Please pass that on. You can get it at my cost.

I hope others do the same if they can. Got to punish him for Pookie somehow, best way is the pocketbook

I will post all Text message later on Today so don't be done with this tread yet so you can see the truth and I don't have anything to hide but what would it gain for me by posting the text? nothing really and I didn't accuse martin of anything at first. All I ask is for him to call me or pick up my phone call.

So i think he should be the one that should post all harrasing and threaten message like he accused me of.And my offer still stand if he can show those text

Hi Pookie;

Really? You say you are done with this and that is the best you can do.. What good would that do? We are waiting for the insulting threats that Martin says he has.. I do like you Brian, but sometimes you can be bit north of reason and common sense....

All it takes is to read this thread to realize Martin should have made some kind of effort to resolve this. From a PR standpoint, to do nothing to resolve this in the first place, then to stand back while stubbornly continuing to do nothing, are clearly bad decisions. Pookie just asked for a little help, which was totally reasonable under the circumstances.

As usual I agree with you Tate. Not sure why Martin dug his heels in so quickly without trying to assist. And yes of course he is not the main person at fault here. Don is.

Also Tate.... I haven't forgotten that you are coming to Philly in March. It's on...

How do we know Martin hasn't done this?

I've been a member just a bit longer than pooky, and I don't remember ever hearing anything bad about him. I started to do a google search for "pooky", but I got some images not work appropriate which made me immediately hit the X button and stop what I was doing!

Is Don a member here (apologies if this was mentioned already)?
