Everybody gets excited about Mosconis 526 run.I talked to Charlie Ursetti a couple years ago and he told me Mosconi ran more than 526 many times. He said he ran over 600 at least 5 times including him running just over 600 and quitting without missing because it was time for everyone to go out to dinner. so to be clear Mosconis 526 is probably like the 10th - 15th highest run ever. All high runs now should be considered practice runs and to be considered the highest run
they would need to run 769 or more to beat Mr.Cranfields run. Also to be noted which only a few people know that Lassiter ran over 500 on his personal 5x10 Gandy sportsman table.

Arthur Babe Cranfield 768 in practice
Tom Parker 642 as told to Dick Leonard
Michael Eufemia 626
No one saw the run from beginning to end, except for Eufemia himself. According to Billiards Digest historian Mike Shamos, this is one of the reasons his record has never been granted official status.

Eufemia stated in his book that it was a 625. That illustrates one problem with an unofficial record list. There is at least one other error in that list to the best of my knowledge (which is certainly incomplete:wink:).

Upgrade John Schmidt to 434, he did it a few days ago. Actually had two 400+ ball runs in the matter of a week. Did 407 a few days prior

Just like all the high runs of the past.
The longer they are dead the longer the high run.
So in 40 years I should be close to Willies run.

All the more reason that for a high run to be official, it should be witnessed to be recognize...
...otherwise we’ll have thousand runs coming outta the woodwork.
