LOLOLOL
Camel racing is more popular than pool in Kuwait cos they are showing it Instead of Kuwait Open on Kuwait KTV
I must say camel racing is exciting:thumbup:

http://www.media.gov.kw/LiveTV.aspx?PanChannel=KTVSportPlus

They could've combined the two disciplines.....
...some camels like racing to nine....

First day results article:

https://www.facebook.com/worldpoolbilliardassociation/posts/687141924784698

"The WPA will be on hand in Kuwait throughout this year’s Kuwait Open 9-ball Championship providing up to the minute information, live scoring, photographs and in depth articles with insights and analysis from WPA "

Where is the link to this "live scoring"" that they are talking about?

====================

James Aranas Zoren(PHL) 9 - 7 Wu Jiaqing(CHN)

Who is James Aranas Zoren? He has notched 2 consecutive wins to earn a lot in the final 64. Is he a pinoy based in the Middle East or does he have a nickname that at least we have heard of in the Philippine billiard scene?

===================

Same question as above for William Millares.

William Millares(PHL) 9 – 5 Rodney Morris(USA)
William Millares(PHL) 9 – 5 Johann Chua(PHL)

I've heard of Arañas, but havent seen him here. He's probably based somewhere in a near-by country as a house pro or a coach (like other Fiipino pool pros).
Jay-jay Millares is a top player in Star Billiards Foundation. He beat Shane race to 11, i think it was last year.

No dead money but lots of unknown monsters

Ok ole wise one who is

1

I believe his is reigning World Champion, Albin Ouschan. He has some complex and gets butt hurt , goes ballistic when someone other than Albin is touted as best.
Best is to ignore him (oops, now he will start ranting that he has never heard of "to ignore him" and that "to ignore him " is not the best etc.)

Have heard of Millares who is a regular qualifier at WPA majors .
Never seen Aranas before but he is a monster . Here he is playing Jundel Mason in semis of a tourney with many monsters

Unlike past WPA tourneys, the Filipino and Middle East unknowns and qualifiers are making a bigger impact this tourney upsetting many top guns. No dead money here and it is great that they are shaking up pool world :grin:

Correction, orcollo actual lost hill hill, apparently he miss 6 ball in the final rack, at least that's what I'm told.

I think he could be right. WPA results show Orcullo losing to Mario He
Wow, so Orcullo is another early casualty

Well, on WPA FB page, they had John Morra losing 2-9 in his first round loser's side match:

Ameur Abdelati Riad(MOR)9 – 2 John Morra(CAN)

But on the online bracket it was the other way around, that is why Morra was able to proceed to his next match wherein he lost to Kevin Chen 4-9.

So we do not know what to believe anymore.

----------------------------------------------

UPDATE: They just corrected the online bracket results and Dennis Orcullo was really defeated by Mario He 9-8.
