I didn't want to pollute the Mosconi Story thread but did want to add a couple of footnotes some may have not seen.

Lou - I wish I had had access to that Ruth MsGinnis vid when I had mentioned making the no-look-take-cue-out-tap-floor-return-cue-make-spot-shot and was told by numerous folks, "Why that just can't be done.". Someone *did* post a vid of Crane doing it but he shot it from the opposite spot at the head string. She shoots it exactly the way I was taught, from the side rail ( though she does make her bridge on the table and not on the rail ), the way most people shoot spot shots. Great videos, thanks.

Michael, I must have slept the thread you refer to. Sorry.

If it helps, I was once trying to emphasize to someone how much more important a good PSR was than any aiming system and ran a rack (albeit with the balls wide open) closing my eyes before pulling the trigger each time.

"Turn your head before you shoot" used to be a spot we gave out from time to time. I've also used it many times when I've tried to explain mechanics to kids and how important it is to be in line on each shot ( "See, kid? If your body's in line and your stroke is dead-straight, you don't need to even look at the object ball." )

Anyway, tons of threads here, Lou... I'm lucky if I see even a third of them. Here's the one I was referring to if you're interested. ;)

Lou - Years ago I had 1946 Billiards Champs saved in youtube but it got deleted and I could never find it again. Great seeing that one especially.
