Does anyone know Chet Higby

I ended up with the Higby Cue that was posted in the Cue and Case forum a month or so ago. Don’t know what I’ll do with it yet, but I’m trying to find out anything I can about it.

I found an old post that refers to Chet Higby being involved with pool at the Hungry Stick in Clairemont near San Diego in 1968. That time seems about right for this cue and it was purchased by the previous owner in San Diego. It’s a long shot, but I wonder if he is associated with this cue in some way. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I remember seeing him play an exhibition with Mosconi at College Billiards when i was in the Navy (64-68) .Cant remember what year. I think Chet ran 104 if anyone remembers. What kind of cue?
