I think both Ralf Souquet and Niels Feijen are busy with a mini-tournament in Poland. An exhibition with 8 players only...

The dates were agreed on way before the US Open had to move their tournament because of the IPT.

However, you never know, they might be there...

I really think Dennis Orcullo will win it this time. He plays a few balls better than Marlon Manalo, believe it or not.

Then you need to go watch the IPT video library match of Rodney vs. Orcollo, you might change your mind. He did not impress me as being as good as Rodney or Manalo.

But that's just one match, I'm sure you could take every top pro and find a match were they play poorly, they are human. One thing that is for sure is that I wouldn't bet against either one of them finishing very high.

orcollo

according to an article I read in a Philippine newspaper, Dennis Orcollo had fever or was not feeling well during the final 6 matches. Even then, he still managed to beat Mika Immonen 8-0 and ran another 7 pack against another finalist (maybe Deuel). He is one of the most feared and promising players in the Philippines today and is called the 'money king'. I would not bet against him. Maybe he just had on off game.

Are they still

going to cap it at 256 players? I was wondering if some players might skip it if they all get their IPT checks?

You know, can't keep'm on the farm once they been to the city...

There is NOBODY in the world that plays a couple of balls better than Marlon Manalo. That is a FACT!

These two, plus Bustamante, Parica, are not listed for the Open, according to the list published at Inside Pool Mag Forum.

We posted the players list earlier today and the information in the link above was harvested from this article: http://www.billiardclub.net/showarticle.php?articleID=124

Anna Kostanian registered online and she made the list by default, but it has now been removed until further notice.

The online information for this year's event has been handicapped due to staffing issues. We appologize for any confusion.
