How many of you AZer's would be interested in this:

AZ billiards 1st Annual One Pocket Tournament
Location: Oliver's Billiards (Louisville Kentucky)
Time: TBD (During the DCC) probably sunday of 1st weekend
Entry: $25 to $50 to cover payouts and table time
Payout: 70%/20%/10% (depending on turnout/minus table expenses)
Double Elimination
Must be a paid AZ room member to participate

I will run the tournament and secure the tables at oliver's billiards for no
charge from me :) .
I will post directions to olivers on azbilliards.com and in az room
I will even run a calcutta if players are interested and management ok's it

I will need to talk to the pool room but I think I could make this work. Is there any interest in this? If so, please post and make some suggestions. Oliver's is a great atmosphere...good drinks/food/cheap table time. I think we could have a lot of fun! If we could get 20 players and run a calcutta, we could have a nice little tournament.

Bomber, how far is the pool room from the E.W., I would sure play, sounds like fun, don't make the start time too early, too much round the clock action there.

It is about 10 miles from the Executive West. I would like to do it on the first Sunday...registration begining at 1:00 and play starting at 2:00. That is what I have in mind. I just want to see what kind of interest we could get for this...i will need to talk to the GM, but I think we could pull it off no problem...especially if we tipped the bartender, bought some food and drinks, and were gracious guests. Oliver's has become my home pool room and I love it there.

I'm interested but don't know the schedule of the DCC and am wondering if those times and dates conflict with tournament play of one pocket at DCC?

Thanks,

I know how to keep score. Let's see, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9...oops, I meant 8. I'm still learning.

9/8 sounds like a reasonable spot for a Phoenix like yourself. That's awful nice of you to volunteer that for our little $50 game.

Okay by me. How about 60-30-10 on payouts. 70 is too top heavy.

If it turns out to be a small field, third place should be entry fee back. 10% of $250 is only $25. Not that I am even hoping to get that.

bump for anyone interested.

I know Pinnochio just hasn't got to this thread yet. He will fall all over his nose getting to this bucherie. :)

There will be others, I'm sure as they get closer to the tournamnet date. It is a bit early for some to make the decision about attending.

I will be playing in the banks also, but never last after the first day, and never re-buy , so my time should be free, unless I get a lot of forfeits.
