We need a way to standardize ratings.

Shooting (IPSC) has it, and it makes the ratings an OBJECTIVE, credible credential.

Otherwise, we'll always be mired in, this guy beat that guy, and might give that other guy the 8, but not the last three.....

It is a BCA ranking system as well as for the ACS. If you play the open singles and finish in the top 6% you are then classified as a master player. If you play in the masters singles and finish in the top % (I'm not sure of that percentage) then you are classified as a grand master. Darren Appleton from the UK and Scott Frost from the USA are grand master champions. They are both a SL7 in the APA.:killingme:
