Dave, I really like them, and really want to do them again. I want to try it on 9' too. Lately, I have had so much going on mentally that is not conducive to pool. Family health problems, ect. And when I do get my head right, it seems like my body won't let me play more than a half hour. I'm averaging about 3 hours a week at best. Half hour here, half hour there.

Anybody out there still working on the exams in the hopes of posting a score soon?

If you haven't checked out the BU playing-ability tests yet, give them a try. They are fun and provide an efficient and purposeful pool workout or practice session.

I am playing with a confidence now that I previously lacked and it feels great! I would encourage players who want to improve to try it out. I am also very proud of my diploma. It took time and effort for me to earn it and I'm really glad I did.

I've added you already (see below), but please post the table info after you take the measurements so I can update your line. Also, when you can find some time, please also run through the 10-ball ghost drill and post your score/rating on that.

The 10-ball ghost drill doesn't test a complete range of pool skills, but I think it does a very good job at rating a person's primary offensive skills. And I think the resulting A-D rating is in line with how most people interpret the letters.

The scores can vary a lot from one session to the next, and there can be a fair amount of luck (both good and bad) involved concerning ball clustering and weird run-out patterns; but if you do a bunch of sessions and throw out the low and high scores, I think the median (middle) score provides an accurate measure of one's offensive ability.

I personally think the BU Exams and BU rating provide a more-reliable measure of a complete range of playing skills, but the 10-ball ghost ratings reported so far seem to correlate with the BU ratings fairly well (see below).

I worked on Exam I this past weekend and managed to increase my score quite a bit. I got an 88, which was much better than my previous best of 74. Here's the video:

The latest listing of posted scores is below. If you haven't tried the exams yet or haven't posted scores, please consider doing so. It's fun. Also, it would be interesting to see how much people can increase their scores over time.

I plan to work on Exam II this coming weekend in hopes of improving that score also.

Can I encourage anybody else to try to better their score on either exam this weekend?

Let's see how high we can raise the bar.

It would also be fun to see scores from many other AZB members out there, especially the ones that talk a lot about being great players. I suspect some users out there have more talk than game, but here is their chance to show their speed and ability to focus.

Good observation. I don't think the glasses height is the issue (although it looks that way in the video with the high camera angle). Regardless, I will check this out when I get home and see why my heads lifts when sighting the OB on some shots. Thanks for the input.
