If I ever bet on pool again, though, it will be as a favor to a close friend who badly wants action. Same thing with stake-horsing --- I've seen far too much "business" done in my day to want to get involved in that, and rarely ever see big action matches where I'm sure everything's absolutely on the level.

If you were a close friend and I felt certain that you were good for the money, and I was 100% sure that no "business" was being done in the match, I'd consider betting $500,000 on Filler, but those conditions are not met here, so you'll have to find your action elsewhere. I only know you as a very capable poster on this forum.

If you devalue my opinion because side action doesn't especially interest me, that's your business, and also your prerogative. Unless I miss my guess, though, I've watched more long-race pool than all but a few on this forum, despite the fact that I don't enjoy it nearly as much as watching all the greats assemble to chase down a very difficult title.

Hey, maybe you're right and Shane would take down the bet. Who really knows?

Finally, thanks for the insult. Much appreciated. It is not in my nature to return the insult. On the bright side, you can put me on ignore, since you seem to view me as short-sighted and uninformed.
I owe Stu a greenie....better quote this so I canít change my mind....

Donít think the king is dead because he just put a thrashing on the Philippine money king. I donít think filler beats Orcullo in a long set. Shane has been dominate since 2007 and impressive playing numerous champions long sets for his own big money.

I read a biography about Gorgeous George
It detailed how he cultivated the bad boy image

Muhammed Ali gives credit to him ,and you will never guess another prominent
legend in show business

try to guess,we might have some fun

At any rate I allplaud the use of the bad guy image

My guess is that he will continue beating SVB

Filler crushes DO and beats Shane, you've got action!

The only game DO beats Filler in a long set is one pocket and that may be temporary

Yes, how fitting was that! gotta love it!

Edit to add I've never seen Shane so excited, I'm sure the King losing in that fashion was part of it.

In the immortal words of Jim Lampley, it happened!!!

"He knew what those jubilant crowds did not know, but could have learned from books; that the plague bacillus never dies or disappears for good...and that perhaps the day would come when, for the bane and the enlightening of men, it would rouse up its rats again and send them forth to die in a happy city."

I didn't say today ,, I highly doubt it would take him long to learn the game because of his exceptional straight pool game

i would say sky won it. ok dressing up the combo was a terrible mistake, but sky would have ran out if not, and even if it would've gone hill-hill, sky would break.. sky repeated his clutch performance from last year. hats off.
