The Democrats are after Justice Kavanaugh again! - 09-16-2019, 06:27 PM

My Gawd are these lying pieces of work slow learners or what? Of course they are being aided in their never ending quest for power at all costs, by the N.Y. Times. The only problem is, the so called accuser can't recall the incident ever happening. At what point are these Dembo P'sOS going to face retribution for this warrantless B.S.?

Lawfare Group Begins Delegitimizing Supreme Court…
Posted on September 15, 2019 by sundance

By now everyone is familiar with the Lawfare network; an alliance of ideological political interests inside and outside government who use the law to achieve their objectives. [Specific Example Here - https://theconservativetreehouse.com...oven-innocent/

During the Obama administration the Lawfare group: (1) weaponized the IRS for political targeting; (2) weaponized the DOJ and FBI for political targeting; (3) weaponized the intelligence community for political activism; (4) created new legal theories around ‘disparate impact’ to weaponize the National Labor Relations Board; and generally used embedded officials to advance far-left political interests across the spectrum of govt.

After they lost the 2016 election the Lawfare group immediately: (1) worked to delegitimize the presidency of Donald Trump; (2) delegitimize National Security Adviser General Flynn; (3) target, disempower and isolate AG Jeff Session; (4) delegitimize AG Bill Barr and the institution of the FBI outside their control; (5) delegitimize DHS, Border Patrol and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE); and (6) delegitimize any institution or office that would now be removing or overturning their former Lawfare constructs.

What we are seeing today from the Lawfare Alliance appears as a designed effort to continue this overall agenda; now focused on delegitimizing the Supreme Court of the United States.

In the last few months the Supreme Court has been moving toward eliminating the ability of Lawfare allied federal judges from ordering nationwide injunctions. The latest SCOTUS decision was 7-2 to stop this Lawfare practice. If activist judges are stopped from blocking executive branch policy, this creates a serious problem for the Lawfare Alliance.

Simultaneously, President Trump is filling vacancies on the federal bench at a strong rate. President Trump has now appointed 150 federal judges into the judicial bloodstream. This further impedes the ability of the ideological Lawfare Alliance to achieve their objectives.

With the Supreme Court tenuously holding a 5-4 conservative outlook, and the strong possibility the loss of Justice Ginsburg might create a 6-3 court, the Lawfare group is now lashing out and planning for ways to retain their position.

The next Supreme Court calendar is likely to be devastating to the ideological left. The court is scheduled to hear arguments on everything from gun rights cases to the Census citizenship question and a likely defeat over Obama’s unconstitutional DACA executive action. Losing on the DACA case would be a catastrophic defeat for the political left, who have weaponized open-immigration for maximum political value.

It’s the DACA ruling in combination with New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. City of New York [(arguments Monday, Dec. 2) whether the city’s ban on taking a handgun outside city limits violates the Second Amendment] that could lead to major trouble for the Lawfare Alliance.

Ideologically it is possible the Lawfare Alliance will attempt to ignore the Supreme Court DACA ruling by taking a similar approach to their Sanctuary City policies. That is to say the ultra-far-left political activists will demand ‘blue states’ do not comply with the Supreme Court decision and set up some internal sanctuary network that defies the SCOTUS ruling. You can imagine this approach would be a problem, as defiant states openly rebuke the Supreme Court.

….So following along with what we know about how Lawfare operates, the current attacks to delegitimize Justice Brett Kavanaugh really give the appearance of entreaties toward delegitimizing the rulings of the court. Rulings such as the pending DACA decision.

That appears to be the strategic purpose for the Lawfare Group to weaponize their ideological allies in the left-wing media, and to start hyping the SCOTUS antagonism now.

Creating a crisis to achieve their results, is simply how the Lawfare group work…

And this...led by that turd Fallon.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/soro...p-nominations/

Soros Fuels Dark Money Judicial Group That Fights Kavanaugh, Trump Nominations

Demand Justice took in $2.6M from Soros nonprofit in 2018

Joe Schoffstall - September 9, 2019 5:00 AM

A "dark money" group that was established to push back against the judicial nominations of President Donald Trump, and which was at the forefront of the battle against Justice Brett Kavanaugh and continues to go after him to this day, was heavily financed by liberal billionaire George Soros around the time of its inception, grants show.

Demand Justice, a left-wing advocacy group, was established in 2018 and is led by Brian Fallon, the former press secretary for Hillary Clinton's failed 2016 campaign. The group does not disclose its donors and is a project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which falls under the umbrella of Arabella Advisors—an intricate dark money network containing dozens of liberal groups and projects. The network is used as a "pass through" entity for Democratic donors and has facilitated $1.6 billion in funds to liberal entities in recent years.

Due to Demand Justice's arrangement with the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which acts as its fiscal sponsor, it does not have to file annual tax forms to the Internal Revenue Service. Those who contribute to groups housed at the Sixteen Thirty Fund can also mark the money to the fund's name, where it is passed to the intended groups while ultimately masking the destination.

However, the Open Society Policy Center, Soros's 501(c)(4) D.C.-based advocacy group, outright marked that it had sent $2.5 million to Demand Justice for general support between April 1 and June 30, 2018, according to a review of its grants. Soros's group sent $87,000 more to Fallon's group between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 to "support advocacy on judicial nominations."

The initial grant from Soros's policy center, which is an affiliated entity to the Open Society Foundations, was given to Fallon's group around the time that the former Clinton henchman appeared at a secretive gathering of the Democracy Alliance, the left's largest donor club that was co-founded by Soros, in Atlanta. The Washington Free Beacon was present at the gathering and spotted Fallon at the bar. The Free Beacon also obtained documents showing that Fallon was there on behalf of Demand Justice, which was not publicly launched at the time.

Soros's policy center sent $1.3 million more to the Sixteen Thirty Fund during the second quarter of 2017. Those funds are not marked toward any particular group, but instead are reported as supporting advocacy on executive nominations, policy advocacy on social safety net programs, and cross-sector policy advocacy and planning.

Soros's Open Society Policy Center also made numerous grants for nearly $2 million to other left-wing groups for advocacy on judicial nominations last year. Those included two grants for $1,000,000 total to Planned Parenthood Action Fund, $350,000 to Color of Change (which also went toward voting rights), $150,000 to the Center for American Progress Action Fund, and $150,000 to the Committee for a Fair Judiciary, among others.

"We are proud to support Demand Justice, which is doing critical work to ensure the integrity of our courts, and which we disclose at the OSPC website," said Jonathan Kaplan, spokesperson for the Open Society Policy Center.

In May 2018, shortly after Demand Justice's public launch, it undertook a campaign against federal district nominee Thomas Farr. On July 9, 2018, Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Demand Justice vowed to spend millions fighting Kavanaugh's nomination and dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars into advertisements on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's testimony in Washington, D.C., and other cable and broadcast networks in Alaska and Maine.

In April, Demand Justice and a coalition of more than two dozen liberal groups petitioned Democrats in the House of Representatives to request Kavanaugh records that were held during the confirmation process. House Judiciary chairman Jerry Nadler (N.Y.) responded by requesting Kavanaugh's records from his time in the White House from 2001 to 2006.

"These documents could prove that Kavanaugh lied under oath to the Senate," Fallon said in early August. "They may also shed light on his true views on issues like Roe v. Wade, and reveal biases that should disqualify him from hearing abortion-related cases in the future."

Like Fallon, Nadler has links to the Democracy Alliance. Earlier this year, Nadler gave a private briefing to the deep-pocketed liberal donors at their spring gathering in Austin, the Free Beacon discovered at the meeting.

Demand Justice and others are planning protests against Kavanaugh on Oct. 6, the one-year anniversary of his confirmation. The activists have called the fight against Kavanaugh "unfinished business."

Senate Democrats also rely on groups like Demand Justice for judicial nomination fights.

In early July, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and a number of Democratic senators released a letter demanding that the conservative Judicial Crisis Network make public the names of donors who have given the group more than $10,000 since 2017, despite relying on such groups themselves. The letter was sent after the Judicial Crisis Network launched a $1.1 million campaign calling on 2020 Democratic presidential contenders to release their supposed "secret list" of judges.

The Alliance for Justice, a liberal judicial activist group that also does not disclose its donors, said in June that it was launching the "building the bench" initiative that would create a list of judges that the next Democratic president could use to nominate individuals to federal courts.

Demand Justice did not respond to a request for comment.

Lying on a job application is grounds for termination, if hired. Grounds not to hire, if found before the decision is made.

Committing perjury under oath during a job application (or at any other time of course) is a felony, and not only grounds for termination, but also criminal prosecution, and for federal offices subject to it, impeachment as well.

Oh, what perjuries, you may ask? Allegedly, and I believe most of these are correct, over 20, to wit:

What a shame. He seemed like such a nice guy, also.

I will say the Swetnick matter was overstated and seems wrong now. However, it was used to also discredit the Ramirez statement, on which even Kavanaugh's own alibi statement busted him. He said if it had happened it would have been the 'talk of campus.' Which it was, by later reporting. Seven people heard of it well before he became a federal judge, all Yale students including two of them who heard of it within a week or so, except for Ramirez' mother. None were questioned or had their statements taken by the FBI.

NOTE/ And I forgot about this Kavanaugh perjury. That makes EIGHTEEN perjuries at a MINIMUM from Judge Kavanaugh. Even just ONE would be disqualifying, per Republicans and Democrats alike.

What a shame. He seemed like such a nice guy, also.

I will say the Swetnick matter was overstated and seems wrong now. However, it was used to also discredit the Ramirez statement, which even Kavanaugh's own alibi statement busted him. He said if it had happened it would have been the 'talk of campus.' Which it was, by later reporting. Seven people heard of it well before he became a federal judge, all Yale students including two of them who heard of it within a week or so, except for Ramirez' mother. None were questioned or had their statements taken by the FBI.
Lol, just wanted to quickly capture this for future reference.

PS5/ I left out here (among several others) Brett Kavanaugh's "Manny Miranda" perjuries, as there were so many and the issue is so complex that it required an entire thread by Senator Pat Leahy (D-VT) to explain it all. Here's that thread ("unrolled"):

[Excerpt: Exhibit 1: After Kavanaugh ally Manny Miranda stole 4,670 Democratic files on controversial Bush nominees, Kavanaugh testified, over and over, that he never received stolen materials or anything that appeared to be prepared by Dems or even anything “untoward.” That’s just FALSE.

Ex.1a: Here’s Kavanaugh receiving a highly confidential letter written to me about a nominee’s position on abortion. It was so secret the sender believed she’d be fired if it got out. Miranda even said take “no action…except as I request.” Kavanaugh responded minutes later.

I can see how all of this "truth" must have been incredibly important, considering that Feinstein was privy to all of this, had the man (Kavanaugh) in her office for 3 hours, and asked him about NONE OF IT. The Dembos have sat on this pile of $!@t for a year. Enough already.

If you think those commie fugs played dirty with Kavanaugh, just wait till trump has another seat to fill.
I promise you, the lies, smears, dirty tricks, and outlandish charges he faced will be child's play compared to what's in store for the next one.
And let's be honest, outside of folks like Robin (who thinks the free-market is the same as single-payer), NO honest person with at least an 8th grade education actually believed the charges against Kavanaugh. It was ALL about him being pro-life. Had he been a pro-abortion, anti-2nd amendment type, none of those inane accusations would've been invented.
And, for the NY Slimes to run that obvious hit-piece is just one more example of how it ceased to be a newspaper years ago. It's now nothing more than the propaganda arm of the far left and the d'rat party that makes it up.

Sofla has flown the coup. He says Swetnick's allegations have been corroborated?

Next he is gonna say that the creepy porn lawyer will be canonized by the Church as a saint.

Where is the old Sofla that had at least a shred of integrity?

I wonder why you think you know what if anything DiFi asked him in her offices. Is there some account of her questioning you can refer me to? At the time, even the Ford information was being held confidential at Ford's request, so her not asking about that has the obvious explanation. There was no Ramirez information early on, and of course, his later alleged perjuries in his testimony had not occurred at that time yet.

So, much of this came out only later, after the private courtesy rounds he made with the Senate Judiciary Committee members. And the D committee members certainly grilled him pretty hard as to his prior adamant and apparently perjurious denials of matters detailed in the link to Sen. Leahy's twitter account.

When swearing in, the witness swears to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help him God. What 'unimportant' truths can then be lied about without an extremely negative hiring decision for a lawyer, a sitting Federal judge, and a life-tenured nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States?

In a most serious Constitutionally provided Senate role for advice and consent for his confirmation to a life-tenured position in the highest court of the land, Judge Kavanaugh decided to backtalk and mock his Senate committee questioners. He repeatedly refused to answer their questions, and instead impertinently and disgracefully questioned them back, as when he questioned Sen. Klobachar as to her drinking when she asked him about his. He interrupted and defied them, displaying a gross lack of judicial temperament.

Quote:
WASHINGTON – Sen. Amy Klobuchar said she was “stunned” by Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s temperament before the Senate Judiciary Committee, including his personal inquisition about her drinking habits.

“I was really stunned by how he acted at that hearing,” Klobuchar (D-Minn.) told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “This is basically a job interview for the highest court of the land.”

Kavanaugh raged against Democratic senators Thursday and accused them of trying to derail his nomination with false sexual assault allegations as “revenge” for Hillary Clinton losing the White House in 2016.

A seething Kavanaugh repeatedly refused to answer Democrats’ questions and instead took to grilling the senators himself. In one memorable exchange, Klobuchar asked whether Kavanaugh ever got so drunk he couldn’t remember what happened the night before.

“You’re asking about a blackout,” the judge responded. “I don’t know, have you?”

After a break, Kavanaugh later apologized to Klobuchar, whose dad is a recovering alcoholic.
Accordingly, the retired Ford-appointed SCOTUS Justice John Paul Stevens reversed his prior endorsement of Kavanaugh's ratification by the Senate.

Quote:
Stevens said he once thought Kavanaugh “had the qualifications” to be a Supreme Court justice and even lauded Kavanaugh in one of his books for a ruling on political contributions. “His performance in the hearings changed my mind.” https://twitter.com/luluramadan/stat...16196568453123
Lulu Ramadan

@luluramadan
Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, a lifelong Republican, told a small crowd in Boca Raton that Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s performance at confirmation hearings should disqualify him. “The Senators should pay attention to this.”
Let's say you are interviewing an applicant for a job, and ask about his time between jobs shown in his resume, or ask about drug abuse. If the applicant becomes hostile, refuses to answer the question, and asks if you had any time between jobs yourself, or abused drugs, are you hiring that person? Or showing them the door?

The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

Please explain why Neil Gorsuch did not receive that treatment then, although he was receiving the McConnell-stolen seat of Merrick Garland.

Because if I'm wrong and he did, I somehow missed it.

Don't worry. Nothing is sure to come to any of this, unless the Republicans lose in 2020.
