I have a LTD Schon that I've had for probably 15 - 20 years. I love trying new cues, but I'm still playing with the ol LTD. The cue hits great.
I do have an old McDermott D 23 that I love. I like that wood on wood feel., but there's nothing wrong with the LTD.
