Chester Krick CK Cues

Always loved Chester's cues, and as it seems like I see them more and more rarely, just posting a thread to show off Chester's work. I think this one was from the 1998 timeframe......I don't know who ran it, but I got it from a dealer running onthehill.net who was great to work with (me being a poor college kid at the time), and ran a program with tradeins where I think he guaranteed trade in value of a cue you bought from him towards an upgrade.

My sense of Chester's cues......great finish, nice style, great playability. Mine I am showing off has inlays and ringworm that are characteristic of many other cues he made, but I have never seen another close to this one tuxedo design.

If you have a CK, let's see it.

Nice...quite similar in design to one I recently sold. He built a very nice cue!

This cue was once owned by a friend of mine. It sure had a lot of work in it!
Sorry about the upside down pictures.

Steppo, that is one awesome looking cue. I have never seen anything like it. Makes me wonder how much work that took...

Believe me from what other cue makers have said about this cue, it took a lot.

It probably depends a lot on what it is and how intricate, the condition it is in, etc. I'm sure if you post pics you will have some folks chime in on what they think it could be worth.

Hello,
Years ago I ordered enough cue parts to put together two cues including his ringwork from Chester's private stock and work.
One of my friends still has a forearm, all ringwork, and butt sleeve to finish a second cue from his parts which I will get back since he quit building cues and I've started doing my own work. I ordered them in early 2004. Here is one of the cues I assembled from his parts he built for me after Chester passed away. It's a 60 incher and all white is ivory. Cocobolo and ebony with birdseye maple accents.
John Marshall

Since he is no longer with us it doesn't have his signature anywhere on the cue. He built the parts and I assembled it for me. It plays AWESOME!!!

Chester Krick was Pat Diveney’s cue building mentor, and Pat thought the world of him.

After looking at all the Shafts in this thread, guess what?

You all made great decisions on your cues.

The builder knew good wood from bad and it really shows.

Thanks for posting and hopefully more, including Maxx, will show some awesome pics with the shafts. When showing off the shafts, show the grain in the upright position and you will be showing off the mans worth even more.

Is that the original wrap? Is it strip leather? I can't tell but it looks pretty cool....

The guy who first bought it gave 1200 dollars and sold it to the guy i bought it from... He said that thewrap has never been changed... Unfortunately here there is nobody who can appreciate ck's job and thereis nobody to deal with collective ques. If anybody deals with this please inform me cause in my hands it s only a cue.... It plays great though...

Nice and simple

Here’s mine. I had Pat put a tip on it and he was pretty happy to see it.
Plays great!
