type of wood on this Runde cue

My guess is lacewood. With a closer picture would be easier to say.

Is the cue heavy ?
I've seen bloodwood in that shade as well.
If it's heavy without a bolt .
Looks like mahogany/Lauan as mentioned .

Highly doubt Padauk.
Some sort of "mahogany" type wood anything from Meranti/Lauan/Sapele/etc to possibly honduran.
As has been noted: is it heavy or light without a weight bolt?
e.g. bloodwood does not float, or barely. Padauk pretty heavy too. the others are considerably lighter.

I made a few Padauk jump handles, one of the reasons was the fairly low weight of the wood. It looks identical to the Runde in the picture.
I believe it's straight grain and plain Narra.

Love to hear people's reasoning on ID, particularly when they are saying it is not something. There can be a lot of variation in grain, color, even density within the same species. Some are going to be more distinct in color and figure, but straight grain and brownish-reddish?
