From what I'm told this is a pre-playmaster AMF. It is a commercial grade table. I paid $500. Can anyone identify the age of this table? Thanks. Btw the skirt/apron is covered in vinyl (pleather).

My uncle had and AMF table in his rec room when I was just a kid. It was not covered in vinyl like this table but had wood rails and skirt. It was a nice heavy table that played well. I think you did very well in getting this table for 500, especially if it is a 4 1/2 X 9 size.

fairly common

They seem fairly common. The one with the blue felt in the previous post I found on Craigslist st. Louis for $800 and looks like its in perfect condition. The one in this post with red felt I bought in Columbia Mo. for $500. It's in pretty good shape and is definitely heavy duty. Seems like it would be a easy restoration considering you can tack on new vinyl to change colors.
