No, I didn't clean up my room.

No, I didn't mow the lawn.

No, I didn't vacuum the floor.

I re-tipped both of the shafts for my Murray Tucker cue and then waxed them and the butt.

I cleaned and waxed three or four more shafts and waxed a couple more butts.

That is enough work for a man on a holiday.

I need some kind of overtime pay for all that.

I spent every night for about a year at Cotton Bowling Palace during the 1962-1963 time period. This time of the year I spend hours in the garage cleaning reels, organizing the tackle boxes and changing braid. So I know how it sucks when you can’t get to the pool room or out on the boat. Sure as hell ain’t gonna vacuum anything.
