Bill Schick Billiards in Shreveport?
I didn't make it to Shreveport on my "pool hall tour" this summer, but it's always sad news whenever another "players" room closes.
What's the remaining pool scene like around Shreveport?
A quick search on GoPlayPool.com shows there's still Sidepockets with lots of 7-footers plus a couple larger rooms in Bossier City, but one of those is a Fast Eddie's and I've been disappointed by that chain before.

Running a pool hall must be a tougher math problem than I think it is.
Bill's in his 70's and just wanted to work on cues. I don't know if anyone made an offer to keep it open or not.
I didn't even know he still made cues.
The man is a legendary cue maker and scrim hander.
I talked to a regular down there and he's moving his shop to a building close by his house. Should be back up in next couple months.

The ubiquity of home PCs and gaming consoles pretty much did the pool halls in didn’t they? I remember back in the 80’s there were a lot of multiple-table venues open. Can’t speak to before that as that’s when I got my drivers license.
Shame, and I don’t like it although I understand it. Holding out small hope for a resurgence, but not so far as holding my breath.

Lot of factors: computers as you mentioned, casinos everywhere, smoking laws, brutal rent/overhead, retiring owners and other things all have done their part in rooms closing.
Don't forget the new/used home table market. There's a used table behind every tree.
The same thing that killed Bowling is killing Pool.
Lack of commitment to going weekly to a local house to play in a League!
With Bowling we had to go from 32 Week Leagues to 16 Week Leagues and even then people would quit after the 4th week.
We tried a 10 week League with a free ball at the end and no one signed up!
House closed a few months later.
Yes, square footage also hurts Pool Halls and Bowling.
Plus the cost to Cool and Heat that large space when business is slow!

It's the culture. Can you see one of those 19 years SJW dudes with spiked hair, nose rings, ear rings, tit rings and an overall disregard for personal hygiene telling his Mom that he's busting out of the basement in a week or so and heading out on the road to hustle a little poo' ? Kids today don't have any money, any brains, any talent or any balls. And they certainly don't have any sense of honor.

Pretty funny, pretty true, pretty sad. I agree with ya brother. Pool takes time and dedication and you can't get these cell-phone addicted jac^&ffs off their phone long enough to form a single thought much less learn to play.
You all might want to check out what Dee Adkins is doing to teach kids the game of pool. I agree pool is having a hard time of it in today's culture, but I heard yesterday that people are buying vinyl records again and cassette tapes are making a comeback.
