Break Shot

For those of us not fortunate enough to attend the DCC and watch the 14.1 competition I wonder if someone who did could maybe discuss ,and submit a sketch if possible, the positions the Pro's used for their break ball and cue ball to begin their runs.

I didn't get to see hardly any of it this year, but last year a lot of people were using just the standard side of the rack back-cut high yield breakshot with top english. On his 245 run video John Schmidt uses a side pocket breakshot that he says he likes to use at the start of the run when he has cueball and breakball in hand.

Most of the players picked up on John's side pocket break to start the run. Mika pretty much stayed with the standard side of the rack break and hit it fairly easy.

Not what I noticed, I watched quite a bit of it. Most players used a traditional break shot like Mika. He used it on all 3 tries as did JA, NF and most others.
