Cliff Thorburn was a tough cookie when he was young...stick you on the end rail...
....then run a century on you.
Then in 1980, as the first non-Brit to win the World Professional Snooker Championship..
....he became known as The Grinder....but still ran hundreds if you couldn’t handle the traps.
Well, he’s not done yet...70years old now, he just won the Canadian Senior Championship
...and still knows where that end rail is.
He beat Floyd Zeigler, a 3-time Canuck champ, in the finals.
...Tom Finstad and Craig Carey were the semi finalists.
So the snooker world might have to wait till Cliff hits his 80s for any hangers...
....maybe he’ll start shooting at some ‘white flags’ then....
