Anyone have any information about these older Players cues? All I know is that they were bought in the late 1990's. I can't find any information on the XXIV and VI models or series. Thanks for taking a look!
These just don't get much attention. The one on the right is fairly common, I think a copy of a Meucci design. Someone will likely know that model. I don't keep any resources to identify Players cues, so I don't know.
The one on the left is more unique. Nice design. Probably much less common.
AFAIK the Roman numerals are manufacturing date and month. I could be wrong.
The Cue on the right is a C-9921 , they still produce that model . My Son bought one this year , It hits just like a Meucci . It is a nice cue , I owned one in the late 90's. They sold around $ 100 bux back then and now they are around $ 165.00 . They are a nice cue, the one on the Left I have no Clue.
You're right on with the Players C-9921 .... thanks! Cue and Case responded and identified the other cue as a PLAYERS G-2260. Soooooo that's resolved. I stumbled into another issue. These older Players cues don't take the standard weight bolt that also fits Lucasi and Dufferin, along with newer Players cues. Cue and Case verified these cues out of the 2003 catalog. The older Players uses a 7/16-14 threaded weight bolt and so far I can't find one anywhere. Folks actually buy 7/16-14 all thread rods and cut it into sections. Anyways ... THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP - I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!
