It's finally in my hands, so better pics to follow :D

It really is a bit special. I might even have a hit with it this evening

OMG, that's a museum piece! That's a piece of history right there. Ernie was the Rembrandt of cuemakers. Some day that cue will be valued like an exotic Balabushka. There aren't many in existence like that!

Can anyone shed some light on who Carter Collins is/was? Pro player of the day? Someone in the entertainment industry?

He was a musician in the LA scene and then a major political figure in the civil rights movement. I would have to look up again the guy he played with. Relatively famous though.

Tell me about it Jay. I have been told not to sell this one. But I’m getting out of cues, and have my young whippersnapper at university now, so need to make some sacrifices. I’m not selling the rolexes yet 😜

One of the best Gina I have ever seen.

As an AZ brother, I highly recommend you DONT sell.

I saw the Ronnie Allen cue back in the 80s
Dennis Glenn now has that one in his collection ofbeautiful
and historic cues

I think he refers to it as Shark teeth

as I remember it is not exactly like yours,
I don't even remember if it has Ronnie's name

Ernie was way out ahead of the time

He had a beautiful ivory wrap cue with a matching case
I was so impressed ,but the price was impressive too

I was inspired to order several ivory wrap cues

Paul Mottey,Jerry Franklin,Tim Scruggs,Craig Petersen,Paul Drexler and several others
I chose ebony and ivory for the ones I got butErnie's was maple and ivory

If I ever get another one,I think it will be maple,I often wonder where that cue is now

I love this cue of yours and the history makes it even better
